Rodrigo Melero vs Diego Corral

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Valle del Cauca promoted show at Juan Gaytan Gym, Buenaventura,  taking place on 07/01/2021:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Colombia Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CARACOL, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rodrigo Melero (5 - 1) who hails from Cali, Colombia and Diego Corral(4 - 0) from Bucaramanga, Colombia.  Both Melero and Corral weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Calvo, and the three ringside judges are Fraco Alvaro, Rodrigo Suero and Emanuel Bazan.  

Round 1: 

Corral advances into close range.  Corral sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Corral closes the distance.  Corral pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Melero wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Corral dabs at his face checking for damage.
