Joe Eddie vs John Cullum

Boxing Daily Report from the Kapenta Promotions promoted show at Atlanta Heriot, Atlanta,  taking place on 29/04/2030:

Clearly Kapenta Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Georgia Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Eddie (27(17) - 6(2)) who hails from Athens, USA and John Cullum(17 - 13(2) - 3) from Atlanta, USA.  Both Eddie and Cullum weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Will Sangster, and the three ringside judges are Dai Gibson, Chris Lou and Ewan Rodgers.  

Round 1: 

Eddie lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cullum closes the distance.  Eddie is on target with a left hook.  Eddie holds on to his opponent.  Eddie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Eddie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Eddie is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Eddie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid jab.  
Eddie feints a left, and then lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Eddie tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Cullum advances into close range.  Eddie hits home with a left hook.  Eddie holds on to his opponent.  Eddie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Eddie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Cullum quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Eddie lands a cross.  
Cullum steps inside.  Eddie lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cullum's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Cullum's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Eddie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.

Eddie steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Eddie finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Eddie tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand right to the head, a cross to the body and a cross to the head.  
Cullum throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Eddie crashes a nasty right uppercut to Cullum's ribs.  CULLUM WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Cullum gets on the inside.  Some sustained pressure from Eddie could be enough to finish Cullum!  Eddie whips in a mean left hook to his opponents body.  CULLUM IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Cullum now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Eddie switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Eddie pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  
Cullum pivots to the side of his opponent.  Eddie lands a ramrod jab.  
Cullum sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Eddie connects with an overhand left.  
Eddie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Cullum advances into close range.  Eddie lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Eddie is looking to keep his distance.  Eddie senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Eddie lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND DROPS CULLUM TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Eddie!
