Mel Fowlie vs Bob Ridpath

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at Beamers Nightclub, Dallas,  taking place on 02/05/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mel Fowlie (11 - 10 - 4) who hails from Mesa, USA and Bob Ridpath(18 - 6 - 1) from Dallas, USA.  Both Fowlie and Ridpath weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Corey Barnes, and the three ringside judges are Edward Ferries, Mark Hendrick and Bob Gory.  

Round 1: 

Ridpath hits home with a cross.  
Fowlie lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  Fowlie attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Ridpath time to recover.  
Ridpath is on target with a solid jab.
