Alejandro Borge vs Tajo Malta

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Gimnasio Gabelo Conejo, San Jose,  taking place on 05/05/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Alejandro Borge (7(3) - 0) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Tajo Malta(6 - 7 - 2) from Bogota, Colombia.  Borge weighed in at 239 pounds and 1 ounces, while Malta weighed in at 235 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Esteban Macario, and the three ringside judges are Angel Fontanilla, Macario Gabaldon and Santiago Durazo.  

Round 1:

Borge is on target with a stinging left hook to Malta's liver.  Borge ties up his opponent.  Borge tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Malta behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Borge about fouling.  
Borge steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Borge is looking to close the distance.  Borge lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Malta has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  Malta quickly recovers. 
Borge lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Malta steps to the outside.  Borge lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Borge closes the distance and drives a solid left hook into Malta's ribs.

Borge digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Borge clinches his opponent.  Borge is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Borge to stop holding.  
Borge lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Borge connects with a stinging right hook.  
Borge closes the distance.  Malta quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Malta throws a left hook, but Borge holds on to his opponent.  Borge is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Borge lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Borge pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid right hook.  
Borge connects with a left hook.  
Borge is on target with a left uppercut to Malta's body.  
Borge lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Malta quickly recovers. 
Malta hits home with a cross.

Malta is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Borge lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND MALTA IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Malta now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Borge gets on the inside and lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.
