Mikio Furuya vs Fresco Torrez

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Lokomotiv Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod,  taking place on 25/05/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikio Furuya (30(21) - 4) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Fresco Torrez(17(1) - 10(7)) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Furuya weighed in at 139 pounds And 14 ounces, while Torrez weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fadei Rakowski, and the three ringside judges are Aleksandr Kharchenko, Luka Alipov and Sasha Bykov.  

Round 1:

As Torrez tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Furuya dabs at his face checking for damage.

Furuya steps to the outside.  Torrez throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Torrez closes the distance.  Torrez drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Torrez throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Furuya time to recover.  
Furuya snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Torrez's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Torrez's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Furuya is on target with a WICKED right uppercut.  TORREZ IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Furuya!
