Alex Quinn vs Owen Torrens

Boxing Daily Report from the Logan Cop promoted show at Birmingham Robin, Birmingham,  taking place on 14/04/2030:

Clearly Logan Cop have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Central England Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alex Quinn (4 - 15(1) - 7) who hails from Birmingham, UK and Owen Torrens(16(3) - 0) from Birmingham, UK.  Quinn weighed in at 174 pounds and 11 ounces, while Torrens weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Wayne Latham, and the three ringside judges are Mark Querry, Kieran Saunders and Iain Cooper.  

Round 1: 

Quinn pivots from in front of his opponent.  Torrens lands a stiff jab.  
Torrens connects with a right uppercut.  
Torrens gets on the inside and manages to force Quinn into the blue corner.  Torrens pivots to the left of his opponent.  Quinn lands a left hook.  
Torrens throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Torrens gets on the inside.  Torrens quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Torrens lands a firm right hook.  
Torrens lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Torrens pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Torrens pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Torrens steps inside and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Torrens cuts off the ring, trapping Quinn in a neutral corner.  Torrens lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Quinn tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Torrens gets on the inside.  Torrens pivots to the right of his opponent.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Quinn dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Torrens lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Torrens closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to Quinn's body.  
Torrens lands a firm cross.  
Torrens steps inside.  Torrens pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Torrens is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Torrens throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Torrens holds on to his opponent.  Quinn tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Torrens's kidney. The ref breaks Torrens's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Quinn circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Torrens finds the target with a jab.  Torrens throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Torrens's ribcage.  
Quinn steps to the outside.  Torrens feints a cross, and then hits home with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Quinn's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Quinn's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Quinn is looking to keep his distance.  Torrens feints a cross, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Torrens pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Torrens pivots from in front of his opponent.  Quinn attempts to land a left hook, but Torrens sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Torrens is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Torrens lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.

Quinn attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Torrens time to recover.

Torrens forces Quinn to retreat onto the ropes.  Torrens sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Torrens advances into close range.  Torrens pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Torrens lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Quinn's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Quinn's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
