Ora Serrato vs Montel Montanez

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Hotel Veneto, Panama City,  taking place on 03/06/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ora Serrato (7(6) - 1 - 1) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Montel Montanez(5 - 8 - 2) from Bello, Colombia.  Both Serrato and Montanez weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jose Lopez, and the three ringside judges are Manuel Gutierres, Diego Borjas and Jose Tejada.  

Round 1: 

Serrato lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents body.  
Serrato steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Serrato ties up his opponent.  Serrato is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Serrato about fouling.

Serrato steps inside and drives a solid right hook into Montanez's body.  Serrato holds on to his opponent.  Serrato tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Montanez behind the head. 
Serrato pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a sharp cross.  
Serrato manouvers Montanez into a corner.  Serrato is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Serrato lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Serrato clinches his opponent.  Serrato is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Serrato's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Serrato digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Serrato strikes his opponents body with a forceful cross.  MONTANEZ IS HURT!  Montanez recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Serrato steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Serrato gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Serrato closes the distance and lands a sharp left hook.  
Serrato is on target with a telling left hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MONTANEZ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Montanez quickly recovers. 
Serrato lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Serrato ties up his opponent.  Serrato leans on his opponent using all his weight. Serrato hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Serrato.  
Serrato cuts off the ring, trapping Montanez in a corner.  Serrato lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Serrato ties up his opponent.  Serrato leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Serrato's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Serrato lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Montanez lands a jab to Serrato's body.  
Serrato advances into close range and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Serrato lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Serrato steps inside and drives a sharp right hook into Montanez's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Montanez's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Montanez's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Serrato knows Montanez is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Serrato lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DROPS MONTANEZ!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Serrato closes the distance.  Serrato lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head, AND DOWN GOES MONTANEZ!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Serrato lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the body, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body, KNOCKING MONTANEZ DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Montanez now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Serrato gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Serrato lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Serrato lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Montanez tries to land a cross, but Serrato slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Serrato is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Serrato clinches his opponent.  Serrato is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Serrato's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Serrato steps inside and hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Serrato is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Serrato walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Serrato whips in a hurtful left hook to his opponents body.  MONTANEZ WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Montanez almost instantly recovers. 
Serrato lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS MONTANEZ DOWN!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Serrato!
