Jerrold Chico vs Juan Matos

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Gimnasio Gabelo Conejo, San Jose,  taking place on 05/05/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jerrold Chico (3(1) - 0) who hails from Masaya, Nicaragua and Juan Matos(1 - 4) from Panama City, Panama.  Both Chico and Matos weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Angel Fontanilla, and the three ringside judges are Esteban Macario, Macario Gabaldon and Santiago Durazo.  

Round 1: 

Chico gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Chico clinches his opponent.  Chico is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Chico about fouling.

Matos pivots to the side of his opponent.  Chico lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Chico lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Chico holds on to his opponent.  Chico leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
