Qulu Yousif vs Elshan Mekhtiyev

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Azerbaijan-Lankaran promoted show at Masally Mannan, Masally,  taking place on 15/05/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Azerbaijan Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IQTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Qulu Yousif (18(11) - 0) who hails from Lankaran, Azerbaijan and Elshan Mekhtiyev(12 - 9 - 2) from Baku, Azerbaijan.  Both Yousif and Mekhtiyev weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vuqar Usifov, and the three ringside judges are Teymur Maharramov, Sakhavat Akhadov and Syed Rahimi.  

Round 1: 

Yousif gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Yousif closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Yousif ties up his opponent.  Yousif leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Yousif forces Mekhtiyev to back into the corner.  Yousif is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Yousif lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND MEKHTIYEV IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Mekhtiyev has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Yousif lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Yousif holds on to his opponent.  Yousif pushes his forearm into Mekhtiyev's face.  The referee warns Yousif and breaks the clinch.  
Yousif gets on the inside.  Yousif pivots from in front of his opponent.  Yousif digs in a left hook to Mekhtiyev's body.  Yousif holds on to his opponent.  Yousif leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Yousif closes the distance.  Yousif pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Mekhtiyev almost instantly recovers. 
Mekhtiyev hits home with a cross.  
Mekhtiyev leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Yousif tries to tag Mekhtiyev on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Yousif lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mekhtiyev quickly recovers. 
Mekhtiyev switches the action to the outside.  Yousif lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Yousif closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES MEKHTIYEV!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Yousif holds on to his opponent.  Yousif is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Yousif sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a powerful left uppercut to Mekhtiyev's body.  MEKHTIYEV IS HURT!  
Some sustained pressure from Yousif could be enough to finish Mekhtiyev!  Yousif crashes a DEVASTATING right hook to his opponents ribcage.  DOWN GOES MEKHTIYEV!  THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT!  HE DOES NOT BELIEVE MEKHTIYEV CAN CONTINUE!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Yousif!
