Bryan Mehta vs Joel Cheromei

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Akhasamba, Nairobi,  taking place on 21/05/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bryan Mehta (13 - 4(1)) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Joel Cheromei(9 - 3 - 3) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Mehta and Cheromei weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Birdi, and the three ringside judges are Paul Changeywo, Kashif Haque and Rex Odhieng.  

Round 1: 

Mehta is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to Cheromei's ribs.
