Davie Lai vs Paul Yuan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Sarawak promoted show at Irfan Tabet Gym, Kuching,  taking place on 25/04/2030:

Clearly AI Malaysia-Sarawak have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Sarawak Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Davie Lai (7 - 12 - 1) who hails from Kuching, Malaysia and Paul Yuan(8(3) - 2(1) - 1) from Kuching, Malaysia.  Both Lai and Yuan weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Imran Majid, and the three ringside judges are Waqas Ayoub, Asif Khalili and Imran Javed.  

Round 1: 

Yuan drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Yuan steps to the outside and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Yuan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Lai steps to the outside.  Yuan feints a left, and then lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Yuan lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Yuan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Lai switches the action to the outside.  Yuan feints a right, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Yuan lands a hard jab.  
Yuan is looking to close the distance.  Yuan hits home with a left uppercut.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lai dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Lai throws a right hook, but Yuan clinches his opponent.  Yuan pushes his forearm into Lai's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Yuan lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Yuan steps inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Lai's body.  
Yuan lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Yuan lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Yuan steps away from his opponent.  Yuan feints a jab, tricking Lai into countering with a left hook.  Yuan springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.  
Yuan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Yuan steps inside and connects with a sharp left hook.  
Yuan pivots from in front of his opponent.  Yuan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Yuan ties up his opponent.  Yuan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Yuan to stop fouling.  
Lai tries to step out of his opponents range.  Yuan lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Yuan tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a ramrod jab.

Yuan digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Yuan lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Yuan tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with an overhand right.  
Yuan steps inside.  Yuan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to Lai's body.
