Quiqui Negrete vs Guillermo Licona

Boxing Daily Report from the Kajoba Promotions promoted show at Torreon Milan, Torreon,  taking place on 23/05/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Coahuila Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Quiqui Negrete (21(1) - 3) who hails from Saltillo, Mexico and Guillermo Licona(10 - 10 - 1) from Saltillo, Mexico.  Both Negrete and Licona weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rio Milan, and the three ringside judges are Dimos Lona, Iago Patron and Vegas Lechuga.  

Round 1: 

Licona tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Negrete steps inside and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Negrete advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Negrete feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Negrete steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Licona accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Negrete.  Negrete wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Licona has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
