John Burnet vs Matt Heaven

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Wilding Park Tennis Centre, Christchurch,  taking place on 29/05/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the New Zealand Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Burnet (10(2) - 8(6) - 2) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Matt Heaven(8(3) - 1) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Burnet weighed in at 231 pounds and 12 ounces, while Heaven weighed in at 234 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Stephen Suite, and the three ringside judges are Stephen Suite, Ian Fergerson and Corey Stobie.  

Round 1:

Heaven connects with a VICIOUS cross.  BURNET HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  He holds his fists up but stumbles into the referee! Burnet doesn't look like he's recovered at all.  The ref seems to thinks so as well...he's signalling that the fight is over!  The winner by TKO is Heaven!
