Mark Gillis vs Hugh Alison

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Pennsylvania promoted show at Allentown Algee, Allentown,  taking place on 30/05/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Pennsylvania Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Gillis (7 - 7 - 1) who hails from Philadelphia, USA and Hugh Alison(10(2) - 3) from Philadelphia, USA.  Both Gillis and Alison weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rich Orne, and the three ringside judges are John Paille, Joey Grierson and Richie Leroux.  

Round 1: 

Gillis tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Alison advances into close range and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Gillis hits home with a left uppercut.  
Alison walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Alison lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Alison lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Alison attempts to land a left hook, but Gillis slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Alison pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Alison connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Alison lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Alison gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Alison quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Alison forces Gillis to retreat onto the ropes.  Alison sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Alison lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Gillis steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Alison blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Alison is looking to close the distance and walks Gillis down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Alison lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Alison connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Alison pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by two straights to the head.  
Alison is on target with a right hook.  
Gillis steps to the outside.  Alison lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Alison lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Alison lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Alison wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gillis dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Alison lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Alison is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gillis's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Gillis's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Gillis's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Alison steps inside and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Alison lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Alison lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gillis quickly recovers. 
Gillis pivots from in front of his opponent.  Alison lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gillis connects with an overhand right.  
Gillis is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Gillis switches the action to the outside.  Alison lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Alison closes the distance and walks Gillis down, trapping him in the corner.  Alison drives a stinging right uppercut into Gillis's ribcage.  
Alison closes the distance and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Alison connects with a sharp right hook.

Alison lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Gillis recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Alison senses Gillis is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Alison lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Gillis now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Alison digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.

Alison steps inside and connects with a hurtful left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE GILLIS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Alison stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Alison lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head, AND SENDS GILLIS TO THE CANVAS!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Alison!
