Jose Rayon vs Mark Goudey

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Olympic Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 08/06/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viewers Choice, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jose Rayon (7(6) - 0) who hails from Ecatepec, Mexico and Mark Goudey(11 - 14(1) - 2) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Both Rayon and Goudey weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Popkin, and the three ringside judges are Olier Paradis, Henry Popkin and Prewitt Gedeon.  

Round 1: 

Rayon closes the distance and digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.

Rayon closes the distance and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents liver.  Rayon holds on to his opponent.  Rayon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.

Rayon tries to land a left hook, but Goudey blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rayon connects with a right hook.  
Rayon lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Rayon digs in a firm left hook to Goudey's liver.

Rayon manages to force Goudey onto the ropes.  Rayon is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.

Goudey pivots to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Goudey manages to force Rayon onto the ropes.  Goudey lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Rayon gets on the inside.  Rayon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rayon lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Rayon holds on to his opponent.  Rayon tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Goudey behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Goudey almost instantly recovers. 
Rayon lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Rayon cuts off the ring, trapping Goudey in the corner.  Rayon digs in a right hook to Goudey's body.  
Rayon lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Rayon holds on to his opponent.  Rayon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Rayon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Rayon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rayon slams a hurtful right uppercut into Goudey's body.  GOUDEY IS HURT!  Rayon holds on to his opponent.  Rayon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Rayon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Goudey quickly recovers. 
Rayon is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Goudey's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Goudey's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Goudey stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Rayon lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Rayon advances into close range and is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  Rayon throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rayon digs in a forceful left uppercut to his opponents body.  GOUDEY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Goudey recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Rayon walks Goudey down, trapping him in a corner.  Rayon lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rayon lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Rayon lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND GOUDEY IS DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Rayon!
