Duncan Halloran vs Barry Meston

Boxing Daily Report from the Mainza Promotions promoted show at Bolton School Arts & Conference Centre, Bolton,  taking place on 14/06/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Northern England Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Duncan Halloran (13 - 18(1) - 3) who hails from Doncaster, UK and Barry Meston(6 - 8 - 1) from Blackburn, UK.  Both Halloran and Meston weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul McComb, and the three ringside judges are Chris Murphy, Rob Apted and Ken McRoberts.  

Round 1: 

Meston lands a left hook.  
Halloran lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Meston advances into close range.  Halloran lands a right hook.  
Halloran switches the action to the outside and is on target with an overhand left.

Halloran throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Meston's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Meston advances into close range.  Meston sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Halloran hits home with a right hook.  
Halloran is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  
Halloran circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Meston throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Meston quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Halloran lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Meston.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Meston dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Meston.
