Chris Pettigrew vs Danny Yeats

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Bob Guertin Arena, Gaineau,  taking place on 06/07/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Pettigrew (7(5) - 0) who hails from Linden, Guyana and Danny Yeats(9 - 11 - 1) from Brampton, Canada.  Both Pettigrew and Yeats weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bruce Hathorne, and the three ringside judges are Henry Popkin, Brendan Aitken and Paul Coupland.  

Round 1: 

Pettigrew steps to the outside and hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Pettigrew lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Pettigrew is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Yeats quickly recovers. 
Yeats is on target with a cross.  
Yeats is looking to close the distance.  Pettigrew is on target with a left uppercut.  Pettigrew clinches his opponent.  Pettigrew tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Yeats's kidney. Pettigrew is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pettigrew.  
Pettigrew lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Pettigrew tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab to Yeats's body.  
Pettigrew sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Yeats manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Yeats hits home with a cross.  
Yeats gets on the inside.  Pettigrew is on target with a right hook to Yeats's body.  
Pettigrew feints a jab, fooling Yeats into throwing a left hook counter.  Pettigrew avoids the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pettigrew switches the action to the outside.  Pettigrew feints a left hook, and then lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Yeats pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Pettigrew lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Pettigrew is on target with a sharp right uppercut.  
Pettigrew steps away from his opponent.  Pettigrew sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand left, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Pettigrew SLAMS a MASSIVE cross into his opponents face.  YEATS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Pettigrew is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Pettigrew lands two right hooks followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, cross and a right hook to his opponents head, AND YEATS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Yeats has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Pettigrew is on target with a jab.  Pettigrew throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pettigrew lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Yeats closes the distance.  Yeats pivots from in front of his opponent.  Yeats throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Pettigrew ties up his opponent.  Pettigrew leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pettigrew is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Pettigrew knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Pettigrew connects with a spiteful right hook.  YEATS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Pettigrew!
