Brian Pugh vs Royal Beauchamp

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at Thistle Hotel, Glasgow,  taking place on 18/07/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Celtic Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are The People's Champ Brian Pugh (24(7) - 2) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Royal Beauchamp(12 - 15(1) - 1) from Rennes, France.  Both Pugh and Beauchamp weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bruce McBeth, and the three ringside judges are Anton Adam, Gordon Arnott and David Hall.  

Round 1: 

Pugh steps inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pugh throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Pugh clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Beauchamp pushes his forearm into Pugh's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Beauchamp about fouling.  
Pugh walks Beauchamp down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Pugh lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Pugh drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  Pugh holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pugh pushes his forearm into Beauchamp's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pugh about fouling.  
Beauchamp gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Pugh lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Beauchamp recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Beauchamp sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Pugh is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Pugh lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pugh lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Pugh is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Pugh clinches his opponent.  Pugh is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Pugh's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pugh lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Pugh cuts off the ring, trapping Beauchamp on the ropes.  Beauchamp throws a left hook, but Pugh clinches his opponent.  Pugh leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pugh is on target with a stinging right hook to Beauchamp's body.  
Pugh connects with a stinging left hook.  
Pugh lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Pugh lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Pugh clinches his opponent.  Pugh leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Pugh's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Beauchamp throws a left hook, but Pugh ties up his opponent.  Pugh leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Pugh pushes his forearm into Beauchamp's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Pugh manages to force Beauchamp into a neutral corner.  Pugh drives a sharp left hook into Beauchamp's ribs.  
Pugh is on target with a firm right uppercut to Beauchamp's body.  
Pugh lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Pugh steps inside.  Pugh is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Pugh crashes a nasty right uppercut to Beauchamp's body.  BEAUCHAMP IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Beauchamp now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Beauchamp's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Pugh quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a firm right hook into Beauchamp's ribs.  
Pugh slams a mean right hook into his opponents ribcage.  BEAUCHAMP IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Pugh lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Pugh sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body, DROPPING BEAUCHAMP TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Beauchamp recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Pugh is on target with a stinging right hook to Beauchamp's body.  BEAUCHAMP WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Beauchamp quickly recovers. 
Pugh digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pugh closes the distance.  Pugh quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Pugh lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pugh advances into close range and hits home with a solid left hook.  
Pugh lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Pugh manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Pugh hits home with a right hook.  
Pugh lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND DROPS BEAUCHAMP!  The ref does not give Beauchamp the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Pugh!
