Leonel Gallegos vs Vicente Ribas

Boxing Daily Report from the Mahlangu Promotions promoted show at San Luis Potosi Caudillo, San Luis Potosi,  taking place on 02/06/2030:

Clearly Mahlangu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-San Luis Potosi Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leonel Gallegos (5 - 15 - 5) who hails from San Luis Potosi, Mexico and Vicente Ribas(6 - 5 - 2) from Soledad de Graciano Sanchez, Mexico.  Both Gallegos and Ribas weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neron Valdez, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Chirino, Vicente Villalpando and Vegas Arguello.  

Round 1: 

Ribas cuts off the ring, trapping Gallegos on the ropes.  Ribas connects with a left hook.  
Ribas is on target with an overhand right.

Gallegos throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Ribas time to recover.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gallegos's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Gallegos's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Gallegos's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
