Mark Peavey vs Dominic Cruikshank

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Sean Byer Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 22/06/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Mark Peavey (3 - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Dominic Cruikshank(0 - 9(1)) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Peavey weighed in at 168 pounds, while Cruikshank weighed in at 167 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ewan Clisham, and the three ringside judges are Mark Warden, Barry Lennie and Peter Manatt.  

Round 1: 

Peavey advances into close range.  Cruikshank pivots to the side of his opponent.  As Cruikshank tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Peavey dabs at his face checking for damage.  Peavey has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Peavey is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Peavey closes the distance.  Peavey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into Cruikshank's body.  
Peavey pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Cruikshank's body.  
Cruikshank tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Peavey is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Peavey lands a left uppercut.  Peavey throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cruikshank tries to step out of his opponents range and throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Peavey advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cruikshank pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cruikshank throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Peavey is looking to close the distance.  Peavey sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Peavey pivots to the side of his opponent and hits the target with a solid jab.  Peavey goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Cruikshank's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Peavey gets on the inside.  Cruikshank pivots to the side of his opponent.  Peavey drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Peavey switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Peavey advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Peavey steps inside.  Peavey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Peavey pivots to the left of his opponent.  Cruikshank lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Peavey hits home with a sharp cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cruikshank's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Peavey walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Peavey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Peavey drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Peavey lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cruikshank tries to keep the action at long range.  Peavey feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the head, a cross to the body and a cross to the head.  
Cruikshank pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Peavey steps inside.  Peavey sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Peavey gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Cruikshank is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a cross, but Peavey parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Cruikshank's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Cruikshank's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
