Alastair Nish vs Ian Heggie

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at McKellar Park, Canberra,  taking place on 22/07/2030:

Clearly JSW have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Alastair Nish (10(7) - 0) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Ian Heggie(2 - 3 - 1) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Nish and Heggie weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Hakopyan, and the three ringside judges are Neil Cookston, Danny McCornack and Sam Savage.  

Round 1: 

Nish steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Nish hits home with a left uppercut.  
Nish throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Nish clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Nish pushes his forearm into Heggie's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Nish lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Nish pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Nish lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Nish holds on to his opponent.  Nish pushes his forearm into Heggie's face.  The ref breaks Nish's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Nish pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid right hook.  
Nish steps inside and connects with a solid left uppercut.  Nish clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Nish pushes his forearm into Heggie's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nish to stop fouling.  
Nish lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Nish walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Nish lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Nish sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Heggie throws a left hook, but Nish ties up his opponent.  Nish leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Nish manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Nish digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Nish quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Nish lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Nish lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Nish tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Heggie is looking to keep his distance.  Nish lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Nish lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Nish advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Nish lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Heggie attempts to land a cross, but Nish sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.

Heggie manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Nish drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.  
Nish gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Nish lands a right uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  As Nish tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Heggie dabs at his face checking for damage.  Heggie has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused damage to the nose.  
Nish lands a straight 1 - 2.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Nish throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Nish steps inside and forces Heggie to back into a corner.  The right shot from Nish could be enough to force the stoppage!  Nish lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS HEGGIE DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Nish SLAMS a mean left hook into his opponents face.  HEGGIE IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  Heggie now seems to have got his legs back.  
Nish lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Nish sidesteps to the right of his opponent and EXPLODES a BRUTAL left hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE HEGGIE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Heggie recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Nish knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Nish is on target with a hurtful right hook.  DOWN GOES HEGGIE!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Nish!
