Hitoshi Uyehara vs Akira Hatanaka

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo,  taking place on 07/09/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hitoshi Hittoman Uyehara (17(7) - 6(3)) who hails from Hirakata, Japan and Akira Hatanaka(8 - 9 - 4) from Yokohama, Japan.  Uyehara weighed in at 175 pounds, while Hatanaka weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aki Fujii, and the three ringside judges are Taro Harada, Ichiro Koizumi and Ryo Nagasawa.  

Round 1: 

Hatanaka is looking to close the distance.  Uyehara retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Hatanaka steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Uyehara gets on the inside.  Hatanaka attempts to land a left hook, but Uyehara dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Hatanaka tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Uyehara digs in a solid right hook to Hatanaka's body.
