Des Leamon vs Mikio Abe

Boxing Daily Report from the Katembula Promotions promoted show at Hamamatsu Ogata, Hamamatsu,  taking place on 30/08/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Des Leamon (13(5) - 0) who hails from Cardiff, UK and Mikio Abe(9 - 16(2) - 3) from Shizuoka, Japan.  Both Leamon and Abe weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Akira Taguchi, and the three ringside judges are Aki Isa, Fumio Hiraoka and Kei Katayama.  

Round 1: 

Leamon advances into close range.  Leamon pivots from in front of his opponent.  Leamon throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Leamon holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Leamon pushes his forearm into Abe's face.  The referee warns Leamon and breaks the clinch.  
Leamon is looking to keep the action on the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Abe is looking to close the distance.  Leamon pivots from in front of his opponent.  Leamon lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Leamon holds on to his opponent.  Leamon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Leamon lands a left uppercut.  
Abe steps inside.  Leamon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Leamon steps away from his opponent and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

Leamon gets on the inside.  Abe throws a right hook, but Leamon holds on to his opponent.  Leamon leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Leamon lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Leamon forces Abe to back into a corner.  Leamon is on target with a right hook to Abe's body.  Leamon clinches his opponent.  Leamon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Leamon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Leamon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Abe's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Abe's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Leamon advances into close range and drives a forceful left hook into Abe's liver.  ABE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.
