Savas Karpat vs Batur Karabekir

Boxing Daily Report from the Nabighyan Promotions promoted show at Izmir Sirach, Izmir,  taking place on 01/09/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Turkey-Izmir Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Savas Karpat (20 - 11 - 2) who hails from Izmir, Turkey and Batur Karabekir(5 - 0) from Izmir, Turkey.  Both Karpat and Karabekir weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Selim Tekin, and the three ringside judges are Ilhami Sunalp, Ayberk Akinci and Suleiman Ozbey.  

Round 1: 

Karabekir closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Karpat blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Karabekir is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Karabekir hits home with a left hook.  
Karpat throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Karabekir quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.

Karabekir advances into close range.  Karabekir sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Karabekir is looking to close the distance.  Karpat connects with a right hook.  Karabekir holds on to his opponent.  Karpat tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Karabekir's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Karpat.  
Karpat steps to the outside.  Karabekir finds the target with a jab.  
Karabekir steps inside and digs in a left hook to Karpat's body.  
Karabekir lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Karpat tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Karpat's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Karpat's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Karpat's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
