Ollie Kwofie vs Marques Badoe

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Ashanti promoted show at Kumasi Gyan, Kumasi,  taking place on 08/09/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ghana-Ashanti Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on bTV Action, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ollie Kwofie (9 - 3 - 2) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Marques Badoe(11 - 13(5) - 5) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Kwofie and Badoe weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ibrahim Siddiqi, and the three ringside judges are Quintavius Ametepey, Noah Asante and Ubanwa Akrofi.  

Round 1: 

Badoe forces Kwofie to back into a corner.  Badoe pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.

Badoe advances into close range.  Kwofie pivots from in front of his opponent.  Badoe lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  As Kwofie tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Badoe has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
