Dai Edwards vs Colin Pearce

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Central England promoted show at Dillon Ivers Gym, Wolverhampton,  taking place on 15/08/2030:

Clearly AI UK-Central England have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Central England Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dai Edwards (7 - 3 - 2) who hails from Leicester, UK and Colin Pearce(13 - 8(4) - 4) from Northampton, UK.  Both Edwards and Pearce weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John McQuay, and the three ringside judges are Nick Monahan, Hassan Hassan and Robert Boduch.  

Round 1: 

Edwards steps to the outside.  Pearce is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Pearce closes the distance.  Pearce pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Edwards dabs at his face checking for damage.  Edwards has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
