Nicholas Perk vs Glynn Byers

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Manitoba promoted show at Paul Clingan Gym, Winnipeg,  taking place on 16/08/2030:

Clearly AI Canada-Manitoba have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Manitoba Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nicholas Perk (5 - 6(1) - 1) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Glynn Byers(5(2) - 0) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Both Perk and Byers weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kieran Rusk, and the three ringside judges are Chris Kidd, Mike Allen and Wayne Pique.  

Round 1: 

Byers advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  
Byers digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Byers holds on to his opponent.  Byers leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Byers advances into close range.  Byers sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a solid left hook into Perk's body.  
Byers closes the distance.  Byers pivots to the left of his opponent.  Byers lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Byers ties up his opponent.  Byers pushes his forearm into Perk's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Byers sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Byers attempts to land a cross, but Perk sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Byers is on target with a cross.  
Byers gets on the inside.  Byers sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Perk tries to step out of his opponents range.  Perk drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Byers finds the target with a hard jab.  
Byers lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Byers pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Byers walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Byers lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Byers pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Byers is on target with a solid right hook.  As Perk tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Byers dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Byers sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Perk steps to the outside and hits home with an overhand left.  
Byers steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Byers clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Byers pushes his forearm into Perk's face.  The ref breaks Byers's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Byers lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Byers manages to force Perk onto the ropes.  Byers pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Byers lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Byers is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Byers is on target with a cross.  
Byers lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Perk steps to the outside and is on target with a jab to Byers's body.  
Byers closes the distance.  Byers pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Perk tries to land an overhand left, but Byers sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Byers advances into close range and is on target with a stinging left hook.

Byers pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Byers lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Byers holds on to his opponent.  Byers is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Byers to stop fouling.  
As Perk tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Byers dabs at his face checking for damage.

Byers lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Byers pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribcage.

Byers closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS PERK TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Perk quickly recovers. 
Byers manouvers Perk into the red corner.  Byers pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body, AND SENDS PERK TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Byers!
