Pal Jepperson vs Arvid Mickelsen

Boxing Daily Report from the Kalabulo Promotions promoted show at Viggo Francke Gym, Odense,  taking place on 17/08/2030:

Clearly Kalabulo Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Denmark-Region Syddanmark Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Pal Jepperson (7 - 10 - 2) who hails from Odense, Denmark and Arvid Mickelsen(7 - 22 - 5) from Odense, Denmark.  Both Jepperson and Mickelsen weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Thorstein Pio, and the three ringside judges are Arvid Wenzell, Quinby Boie and Tryggvi Fabricius.  

Round 1: 

Jepperson lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Jepperson tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mickelsen gets on the inside.  Jepperson lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Jepperson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mickelsen lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Mickelsen is on target with a right hook.  
Jepperson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mickelsen goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Jepperson time to recover.  
Jepperson is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Mickelsen pivots to the left of his opponent.  Jepperson is on target with a left hook.  
Jepperson steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Jepperson steps to the outside.  Mickelsen is on target with a jab.

Mickelsen closes the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mickelsen dabs at his face checking for damage.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jepperson's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Jepperson's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Mickelsen's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Mickelsen manages to force Jepperson onto the ropes.  As Mickelsen tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jepperson dabs at his face checking for damage.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Jepperson has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
