Leander Contos vs Eli Stathis

Boxing Daily Report from the Athens Boxing Club promoted show at Athens Lambros, Athens,  taking place on 16/09/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Greece-Attica Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leander Contos (12 - 6(1) - 3) who hails from Athens, Greece and Eli Stathis(15 - 5 - 1) from Athens, Greece.  Both Contos and Stathis weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arion Rota, and the three ringside judges are Colum Antoni, Aegyptus Kontos and Telemachus Speros.  

Round 1: 

Stathis advances into close range and lands a left hook.  
Contos is on target with a right uppercut.  Stathis ties up his opponent.  Stathis is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Contos throws a left hook, but Stathis clinches his opponent.  Contos pushes his forearm into Stathis's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Contos to stop fouling.  
Stathis manouvers Contos onto the ropes.  Stathis lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Stathis ties up his opponent.  Stathis is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Stathis.  
Stathis digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Stathis holds on to his opponent.  Stathis leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Stathis is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Stathis tries to land a left uppercut, but Contos slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Stathis's ribcage.  
Stathis walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Stathis lands a left uppercut followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body.

Contos steps inside.  Stathis lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Stathis ties up his opponent.  Stathis leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Stathis drives a right uppercut into Contos's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Stathis has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Stathis lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Stathis lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DOWN GOES CONTOS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Stathis!
