Mariano Valentini vs Giuseppe Balbo

Boxing Daily Report from the Rocco Agostino promoted show at Genoa Padelli, Genoa,  taking place on 22/08/2030:

Clearly Rocco Agostino have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Liguria Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mariano Valentini (12 - 3 - 6) who hails from Genoa, Italy and Giuseppe Balbo(6 - 6(1) - 3) from La Spezia, Italy.  Both Valentini and Balbo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Giorgio Malgieri, and the three ringside judges are Giorgio Malgieri, Gianluca Bergomi and Pepe Cusano.  

Round 1: 

Valentini steps to the outside.  Balbo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Balbo attempts to land a jab, but Valentini slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Balbo steps inside.  Balbo lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  As Balbo tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Valentini dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Valentini is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Balbo feints a right hook, but Valentini ignores the feint and is on target with a left hook to Balbo's ribs.  
Balbo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Valentini switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.
