Gethin Couch vs Sammy MacConnell

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Virginia promoted show at Richmond Rees, Richmond,  taking place on 20/09/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Virginia Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gethin Couch (9 - 1 - 2) who hails from Chesapeake, USA and Sammy MacConnell(6 - 1 - 2) from Virginia Beach, USA.  Both Couch and MacConnell weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jamie McClennen, and the three ringside judges are Cole Scott, Dan Whalen and Ewan Farris.  

Round 1: 

Couch switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
MacConnell gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Couch in a corner.  MacConnell lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as MacConnell dabs at his face checking for damage.
