Remo Ciani vs Mario Ripa

Boxing Daily Report from the Mankattah Promotions promoted show at Turin Catania, Turin,  taking place on 21/09/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Piedmont Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Remo Ciani (8 - 10 - 2) who hails from Novara, Italy and Mario Ripa(18 - 8 - 2) from Turin, Italy.  Both Ciani and Ripa weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arturo Leotta, and the three ringside judges are Rocco Mazzocchi, Daniele Allevi and Daniele Benetollo.  

Round 1: 

Ripa hits home with a left uppercut.  
Ripa drives a left hook into Ciani's ribs.  
Ripa drives a right uppercut into Ciani's ribs.  
Ripa gets on the inside.  Ciani is on target with a right hook.  
Ripa lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ripa forces Ciani to back into the corner.  Ripa connects with a left uppercut.  
Ripa gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Ripa pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ciani's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Ciani's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ripa's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Ripa gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to Ciani's body.  
Ciani quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ripa hits home with an overhand right.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ciani dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ciani.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Ripa drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Ripa lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
