Hugh Gichure vs Dale Birdi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Mombasa promoted show at Razi Masinde Gym, Mombasa,  taking place on 20/09/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Mombasa Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hugh Gichure (8 - 15 - 3) who hails from Mombasa, Kenya and Dale Birdi(21(1) - 7(2)) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Both Gichure and Birdi weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Perlo, and the three ringside judges are Paul Kithuka, Tavon Wanga and Fraser Magwanga.  

Round 1: 

Gichure tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
