Roman Lucero vs Euan Mitchell

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Louisiana promoted show at Crescent City Boxing Gym, New Orleans,  taking place on 02/09/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Roman Shotgun Lucero (22(22) - 3(2) - 1) who hails from Rodriguez, Philippines and Euan Mitchell(4 - 17 - 4) from Wichita, USA.  Both Lucero and Mitchell weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kian Hason, and the three ringside judges are Mark Gilchrist, Wayne Beaubien and Ricky Glasco.  

Round 1: 

Lucero is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook to Mitchell's ribs.  
Lucero advances into close range and connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Lucero hits the target with a hard jab.  
Lucero lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Lucero walks his opponent into a corner.  Lucero lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Lucero hits home with a right uppercut.  
Lucero gets on the inside and lands a firm left uppercut.  
Lucero lands with a sharp jab.  
Lucero lands a jab to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Mitchell switches the action to the outside.  Lucero sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a stinging cross.  
Lucero drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Lucero hits home with a left uppercut.  
Lucero is on target with a left uppercut.  
Mitchell switches the action to the outside.  Lucero lands with a ramrod jab.  
Lucero is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to Mitchell's ribs.

As they grapple, Lucero pushes his forearm into Mitchell's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lucero about fouling.

Lucero tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mitchell's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lucero to stop fouling.

Lucero lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Lucero is looking to close the distance.  Lucero digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Mitchell has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Lucero lands a right hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents head.  Lucero ties up his opponent.  Lucero is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Lucero and breaks the clinch.

Mitchell pivots to the right of his opponent.  Lucero tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lucero advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Lucero closes the distance and connects with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Mitchell's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Lucero steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Mitchell tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lucero lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.

Lucero advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  Lucero clinches his opponent.  Lucero leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Lucero is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Lucero connects with a hurtful left hook.  MITCHELL HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT MITCHELL IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Lucero!
