Zachary Ranum vs Charlie Kenefick

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Minnesota promoted show at Colin Daley Gym, Minneapolis,  taking place on 29/09/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Minnesota Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zachary Ranum (9 - 3) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Charlie Kenefick(8(3) - 0) from Minneapolis, USA.  Ranum weighed in at 121 pounds and 11 ounces, while Kenefick weighed in at 121 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Mattus, and the three ringside judges are David Scholar, Charlie Genz and Ian Soderberg.  

Round 1: 

Ranum quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Kenefick gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Kenefick sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Kenefick drives a left hook into Ranum's ribs.  
Kenefick gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Kenefick forces Ranum to back into a corner.  Kenefick digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ranum steps away from his opponent and is on target with an overhand right.  
Ranum attempts to land a jab, but Kenefick dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kenefick is looking to close the distance.  Kenefick pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ranum lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Ranum is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.  
Kenefick closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Kenefick manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Kenefick digs in a stinging right hook to Ranum's ribs.  As Kenefick tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ranum dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ranum attempts to land a cross, but Kenefick sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Kenefick pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Ranum's body.  
Kenefick pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ranum is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a jab.  
Ranum tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kenefick steps inside and walks Ranum onto the ropes.  Kenefick lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kenefick is on target with a right hook to Ranum's body.  
Kenefick gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Kenefick advances into close range.  Kenefick sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Ranum has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ranum's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Ranum's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Kenefick lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ranum recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Kenefick lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND SENDS RANUM TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 7.  
Kenefick lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Kenefick gets on the inside.  Kenefick is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Kenefick EXPLODES a MASSIVE cross into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES RANUM!  HE FAILS TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Kenefick!
