Rob Banter vs James Grant

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-California promoted show at San Francisco Cerezo, San Francisco,  taking place on 02/10/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-California Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rob Banter (13 - 15 - 6) who hails from San Jose, USA and James Grant(10 - 20 - 3) from Chula Vista, USA.  Both Banter and Grant weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Evans, and the three ringside judges are Paul Ross, Darryl Bruce and Kieran Farm.  

Round 1: 

Grant attempts to land a jab, but Banter sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Grant lands a right hook.  
Grant switches the action to the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Grant lands a jab.  
Banter voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Grant steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.
