Ian Dougall vs Valto Paavola

Boxing Daily Report from the Pendragon Inc promoted show at Sergie Gym, Riga,  taking place on 07/09/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Ian Dougall (0 - 0 - 1) who hails from Liverpool, UK and Valto Paavola(0 - 15) from Helsinki, Finland.  Both Dougall and Paavola weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Valeri Akitis, and the three ringside judges are Yulian Smilduzieds, Kolzak Liepkalnietis and Evgeny Shmits.  

Round 1: 

Dougall lands a cross.  
Paavola connects with a right hook.

Paavola drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Dougall attempts to land a jab, but Paavola sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Dougall's ribcage.

Paavola advances into close range.  Dougall throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Paavola time to recover.  
Paavola tries to land a right uppercut, but Dougall sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Paavola gets on the inside.  Dougall lands a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dougall's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Dougall's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Paavola's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Paavola's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Paavola manages to force Dougall into a corner.  Paavola hits home with a left uppercut.  
Paavola hits home with a cross.  
Paavola gets on the inside.  Dougall wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Paavola has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Paavola hits home with a right uppercut.

Paavola closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Dougall attempts to land a left uppercut, but Paavola dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Dougall closes the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Paavola has been damaged by the clash of heads.  The foul has worsened the damage  around the left eye.
