Jayvyn Chiona vs Kai Ncube

Boxing Daily Report from the South African Boxers promoted show at The Heart Stadium, Chitungwiza,  taking place on 09/10/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jayvyn Chiona (2 - 0) who hails from Ndola, Zambia and Kai Ncube(1 - 0) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Chiona and Ncube weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Rodger, and the three ringside judges are Jack Feamster, Jonathan Mnangagwa and Lewis Masakadza.  

Round 1: 

Chiona gets on the inside.  Ncube quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent andNcube wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Chiona dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Chiona steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Chiona feints a cross, and then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Chiona closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Chiona is on target with a sharp right uppercut.  Chiona clinches his opponent.  Chiona pushes his forearm into Ncube's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ncube steps away from his opponent.  Chiona snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Ncube pivots to the side of his opponent.  Chiona lands a sharp left hook.  
Ncube pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Ncube is looking to keep his distance.  Chiona lands a cross.  
Chiona gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ncube is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Chiona lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Chiona lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Chiona is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Chiona lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Chiona closes the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.

Chiona lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Chiona lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Chiona ties up his opponent.  Chiona is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Chiona to stop fouling.  
Ncube is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Chiona connects with an overhand right.  Chiona tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Chiona advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Chiona pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ncube tries to step out of his opponents range.  Chiona lands a jab.  
Chiona steps inside.  Chiona pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ncube throws a right hook, but Chiona clinches his opponent.  Chiona leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Chiona lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Chiona manages to force Ncube onto the ropes.  Chiona lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Chiona lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Chiona lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Chiona lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Chiona sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook.

Round 3: 

Chiona steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Chiona cuts off the ring, trapping Ncube in a neutral corner.  As Ncube tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Chiona dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Chiona.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Chiona connects with a right uppercut.  
Chiona steps inside and is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
Chiona is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Chiona drives a right hook into Ncube's body.  
Chiona connects with a stinging right hook.  
Ncube throws a left hook, but Chiona ties up his opponent.  Chiona leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Chiona pushes his forearm into Ncube's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Chiona about fouling.  
Chiona crashes a spiteful right hook to Ncube's ribs.  NCUBE IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Chiona lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Chiona is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Chiona drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  NCUBE IS HURT!  
Chiona senses Ncube is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Chiona lands a right hook to the head, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body, AND DROPS NCUBE!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Ncube now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Ncube sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Chiona is on target with a left hook to Ncube's liver.

Chiona gets on the inside.  Ncube pivots from in front of his opponent.  Chiona is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Chiona lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Chiona walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Chiona hits home with a right hook.  
Chiona is on target with a right hook to Ncube's body.  
Chiona gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Chiona steps inside and walks Ncube into a corner.  Chiona is on target with a right hook to Ncube's body.

That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Chiona lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  Chiona clinches his opponent.  Chiona tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ncube behind the head. The ref breaks Chiona's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Chiona lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Chiona whips in a nasty right hook to Ncube's ribcage.  NCUBE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
The right shot from Chiona could be enough to force the stoppage!  Chiona drives a weighty right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  NCUBE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Chiona slams a mean right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  NCUBE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Chiona!
