Zelipe Virgen vs Gregory Maupassant

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Claude Robillard Centre, Montreal,  taking place on 16/11/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the WRBO Intercontinental Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are El Bombardero Zelipe Virgen (29(28) - 3(2)) who hails from Trujillo, Peru and Gregory Maupassant(26(6) - 5(4)) from Nice, France.  Both Virgen and Maupassant weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Destin Dauphin, and the three ringside judges are Briant Sarraute, Mark Mostyn and Ferrand Pradon.  

Round 1: 

Virgen connects with a FEARSOME cross.  MAUPASSANT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Virgen senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Maupassant and just needs the right shot.  Virgen lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS MAUPASSANT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Virgen lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND MAUPASSANT IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Maupassant now seems to have got his legs back.  
Maupassant closes the distance and drives a right hook into Virgen's ribcage.  
Virgen tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Maupassant closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Maupassant tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Maupassant's body.  
Virgen switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Virgen lands an overhand left followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Maupassant steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Virgen on the ropes.  Maupassant lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Maupassant drives a right hook into Virgen's body.  
Virgen connects with a right hook.  
Virgen pivots to the side of his opponent.  Maupassant lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Virgen steps away from his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  Virgen attempts to land a jab, but Maupassant blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Maupassant sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Virgen lands a spiteful jab.  
Virgen lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Maupassant recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Maupassant steps inside.  Virgen is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Virgen dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Maupassant lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Maupassant sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Virgen's ribs.  
Maupassant lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Virgen throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Virgen lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Virgen lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Virgen steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Maupassant closes the distance and forces Virgen to retreat onto the ropes.  Maupassant sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Virgen connects with a right hook.  Virgen throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Maupassant lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Maupassant hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Virgen is looking to keep his distance and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Virgen's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Maupassant's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Maupassant cuts off the ring, trapping Virgen on the ropes.  Maupassant lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Maupassant is on target with a left hook to Virgen's body.  
Maupassant attempts to land a left hook, but Virgen blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Maupassant manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Virgen connects with a DEVASTATING left hook.  MAUPASSANT HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 8.
