Viktor Kovalski vs Igor Frolova

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Sports and Concert Complex, Saint Petersburg,  taking place on 14/12/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Eastern Europe Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sport 1 Russia, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Viktor Kovalski (30(29) - 3(3)) who hails from Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia and Igor Frolova(16(11) - 8(8)) from Sochi, Russia.  Kovalski weighed in at 168 pounds, while Frolova weighed in at 167 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sergei Fokichev, and the three ringside judges are Mikhail Dvorny, Borya Antropov and Evgeny Balashov.  

Round 1: 

Frolova steps to the outside.  Kovalski throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Kovalski gets on the inside.  Frolova lands two right hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Frolova attempts to land a right hook, but Kovalski slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Frolova lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Kovalski is looking to close the distance.  Frolova senses Kovalski is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Frolova lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS KOVALSKI SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Kovalski now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Frolova throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Kovalski walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Frolova lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Frolova thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Kovalski away.  Frolova lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS KOVALSKI SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Frolova tries to keep the action at long range.  Frolova EXPLODES a SAVAGE right hook into his opponents face.  KOVALSKI IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Kovalski now seems to have his senses back.  
Frolova pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Frolova is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kovalski tries to land a cross, but Frolova sidesteps and counters with a FEARSOME cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE KOVALSKI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Kovalski recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kovalski gets on the inside.  Frolova sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into Kovalski's ribs.  
Frolova sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kovalski drives a solid left hook into Frolova's body.  
Kovalski is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Frolova throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Kovalski connects with a left uppercut.  
Kovalski drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
Frolova steps away from his opponent.  Kovalski lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kovalski lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Frolova throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Kovalski is looking to close the distance and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  
Frolova attempts to land a left hook, but Kovalski parries the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Frolova sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kovalski attempts to land a jab, but Frolova sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Kovalski's ribcage.

Kovalski sidesteps to the left of his opponent and whips in a nasty left uppercut to Frolova's ribs.  FROLOVA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Frolova quickly recovers. 
Frolova is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Kovalski attempts to land a left hook, but Frolova sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Frolova is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Kovalski slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Frolova drives a right hook into Kovalski's body.

Frolova connects with a VICIOUS right hook.  KOVALSKI IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE REMAINS ON THE CANVAS AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Frolova!
