Diego Alejos vs Alejandro Cruz

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Santander promoted show at Bucaramanga Arguelles, Bucaramanga,  taking place on 18/10/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Colombia-Santander Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CARACOL, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Alejos (9(1) - 2) who hails from Bucaramanga, Colombia and Alejandro Cruz(19 - 7 - 2) from Bucaramanga, Colombia.  Both Alejos and Cruz weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Enzo Baile, and the three ringside judges are Jose Alcala, Franco Maes and Vidal Aro.

Cruz goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Alejos's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Alejos steps inside.  Alejos drives a right hook into Cruz's ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Alejos.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  We are going to the scorecards.
