Elias Carpio vs Vegas Gomez

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Estadio La Veranera, Leon,  taking place on 07/11/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Elias Carpio (7(6) - 1) who hails from Leon, Nicaragua and Vegas Gomez(9 - 10 - 1) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Carpio weighed in at 154 pounds, while Gomez weighed in at 153 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rio Zaragoza, and the three ringside judges are Xavier Pedrosa, Carlos Parras and Marco Sabio.  

Round 1: 

Carpio is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Carpio holds on to his opponent.  Carpio pushes his forearm into Gomez's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carpio advances into close range and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Carpio clinches his opponent.  Carpio is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carpio is on target with a firm right hook.  
Gomez closes the distance.  Carpio lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Carpio clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Carpio pushes his forearm into Gomez's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Carpio is on target with a sharp left hook to Gomez's ribs.  
Carpio is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Carpio ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Carpio pushes his forearm into Gomez's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Carpio to stop fouling.  
Carpio connects with a firm right hook.  
Carpio lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Carpio lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Carpio is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Carpio lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, DROPPING GOMEZ TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Gomez now seems to have his senses back.

Carpio pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Gomez advances into close range.  Carpio lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Carpio ties up his opponent.  Carpio uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Gomez behind the head. Carpio leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carpio lands a left uppercut.  
Carpio sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Carpio lands two left uppercuts followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Carpio holds on to his opponent.  Carpio pushes his forearm into Gomez's face.  The referee warns Carpio and breaks the clinch.  Gomez recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Carpio lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Carpio lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  Carpio ties up his opponent.  Carpio leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Carpio forces Gomez to retreat into a neutral corner.  Carpio sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Carpio hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gomez's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Gomez's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Carpio pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Carpio lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carpio steps inside and connects with a right uppercut.  
Carpio forces Gomez to retreat into a corner.  Carpio digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Carpio lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Gomez almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Carpio lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Gomez gets on the inside.  Carpio lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Carpio lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  It looks like Gomez has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Gomez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Carpio is on target with a solid jab.  
Gomez throws a left hook, but Carpio holds on to his opponent.  Carpio leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carpio lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS GOMEZ SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Carpio!
