Daichi Hagiwara vs Kazuhiko Sonoda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Matsudo Tanigawa, Matsudo,  taking place on 21/10/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daichi Hagiwara (13 - 14(1) - 4) who hails from Kashiwa, Japan and Kazuhiko Sonoda(20(9) - 4) from Chiba, Japan.  Both Hagiwara and Sonoda weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenji Aoyama, and the three ringside judges are Fumio Yanagi, Yuichi Kaba and Michi Anzai.  

Round 1: 

Sonoda closes the distance and digs in a right hook to Hagiwara's body.  Sonoda holds on to his opponent.  Sonoda pushes his forearm into Hagiwara's face.  The ref breaks Sonoda's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Sonoda steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Sonoda lands a left uppercut.  Sonoda holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Sonoda pushes his forearm into Hagiwara's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Sonoda has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused a slight cut above.
