Aftab Sharaf vs Brad Saia

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne,  taking place on 02/11/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aftab Sharaf (7(6) - 0) who hails from Abuja, Nigeria and Brad Saia(3 - 0) from Melbourne, Australia.  Sharaf weighed in at 147 pounds, while Saia weighed in at 146 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Euan Kier, and the three ringside judges are Clinton Waugh, Paul Lawrie and Sam Beatty.  

Round 1: 

Sharaf is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Sharaf holds on to his opponent.  Sharaf is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Sharaf and breaks the clinch.
