Viktor Mednis vs Mikhail Riekstinsh

Boxing Daily Report from the Pendragon Inc promoted show at Ventspils Basketball Hall, Riga,  taking place on 28/09/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Viktor Mednis (4 - 0) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Mikhail Riekstinsh(0 - 0) from Riga, Latvia.  Both Mednis and Riekstinsh weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vikenti Vecvanags, and the three ringside judges are Luka Ozolitis, Georgiy Jaungailis and Arseni Sausaismarcis.  

Round 1:

Riekstinsh gets on the inside.  Mednis digs in a left hook to Riekstinsh's liver.  
Mednis is on target with a stinging jab.  
Riekstinsh throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Mednis steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Mednis is on target with a right hook.  
Mednis sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Mednis walks Riekstinsh down, trapping him in a corner.  Mednis pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mednis pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Mednis digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Riekstinsh throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Mednis is looking to close the distance and digs in a left uppercut to Riekstinsh's body.

Mednis manouvers Riekstinsh into the blue corner.  Mednis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Mednis voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Riekstinsh tries to tag Mednis on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Riekstinsh steps inside.  Riekstinsh sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mednis lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Riekstinsh lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Riekstinsh closes the distance and throws a right hook, but Mednis holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
