Vicente Medero vs Joaquin Fletes

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Los Gym, San Jose,  taking place on 06/10/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Vicente Medero (0 - 0) who hails from San Miguelito, Panama and Joaquin Fletes(2 - 2) from Guatemala City, Guatemala.  Medero weighed in at 146 pounds and 13 ounces, while Fletes weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Javier Gallo, and the three ringside judges are Baltasar Cecilio, Hernan Lovato and Baltasar Cecilio.  

Round 1: 

Fletes feints a right hook, but Medero ignores the feint and responds with a cross.

Medero sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Medero tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Fletes stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Medero connects with an overhand left.  
Fletes is looking to close the distance.  Medero lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Medero switches the action to the outside and connects with an overhand right.  
Medero lands a stiff jab.  
Fletes gets on the inside.  Medero sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Medero throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Fletes advances into close range.  Medero connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Fletes walks Medero onto the ropes.  Fletes pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fletes's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Medero lands a cross to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Fletes manouvers Medero into a corner.  Fletes is on target with a jab.  
Fletes advances into close range and walks Medero down, trapping him in the corner.  Medero hits home with a right hook.  Fletes wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Medero has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Medero lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Medero steps to the outside and connects with an overhand right.  Medero tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Medero is on target with a firm overhand right.

Fletes manages to force Medero into a corner.  Fletes throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Medero time to recover.  
Medero is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a firm overhand right.

Medero steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
Medero connects with a cross.  
Medero is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Fletes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Medero lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Fletes steps inside.  Medero lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Medero is on target with a left hook.  
Medero steps to the outside.  Fletes throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Medero circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Fletes connects with a left hook.  
Fletes gets on the inside.  Medero drives a solid left hook into Fletes's liver.  
Medero lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Fletes closes the distance.  As Medero tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fletes dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Fletes closes the distance and forces Medero to back into the ropes.  Medero throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Medero ties up his opponent.  Medero leans on his opponent using all his weight. Medero uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Fletes's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
