Rob Rainey vs Antwan MacAlastair

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Staples Center, Los Angeles,  taking place on 23/01/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Razer Rob Rainey (29(22) - 0) who hails from El Paso, USA and Antwan MacAlastair(23 - 7) from New York City, USA.  Rainey weighed in at 230 pounds and 3 ounces, while MacAlastair weighed in at 241 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mason Boyter, and the three ringside judges are Leeroy Hughen, Justin Lever and Euan Lyon.  

Round 1: 

Rainey lands a jab, cross and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Rainey closes the distance and digs in a sharp left uppercut to MacAlastair's body.  
MacAlastair lands a right hook.  MacAlastair throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Rainey walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  MacAlastair throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a weighty left uppercut.  MACALASTAIR IS HURT!  
MacAlastair could be stopped here, if Rainey can find the right shot!  Rainey lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  MacAlastair now seems to have got his legs back.  
Rainey advances into close range and is on target with a solid right hook to MacAlastair's ribcage.  
Rainey lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Rainey steps inside and lands a sharp right hook.  
MacAlastair throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
MacAlastair steps to the outside and strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Rainey pivots from in front of his opponent and DETONATES a nasty left hook on his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACALASTAIR WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  MacAlastair almost instantly gets his legs back. 
MacAlastair tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  MacAlastair tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Rainey advances into close range.  MacAlastair lands a right hook.  
MacAlastair tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with an overhand right.  
Rainey gets on the inside and digs in a firm right hook to MacAlastair's body.  
MacAlastair is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a cross.  
MacAlastair lands a stinging jab.  MacAlastair attempts to land a cross, but Rainey sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to MacAlastair's ribs.  
Rainey gets on the inside.  MacAlastair drives a right hook into Rainey's ribcage.  
Rainey advances into close range and digs in a right hook to MacAlastair's body.  
Rainey closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
