Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Staples Center, Los Angeles,  taking place on 06/02/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave the heat Canedo (17(8) - 0) who hails from Seattle, USA and Joaquin Janota(21(2) - 5(2)) from Porto Alegre, Brazil.  Canedo weighed in at 135 pounds, while Janota weighed in at 135 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Glynn Flockhart, and the three ringside judges are Sam Gaddie, Alen Pryor and Edward Fernandez.  

Round 1: 

Janota lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Canedo tries to land a left uppercut, but Janota blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Canedo lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Canedo is on target with a jab.  
Canedo closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Canedo tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Canedo's body.  
Janota throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Canedo is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a spiteful jab.  
Canedo tries to land a jab, but Janota blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Janota throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Janota tries to land a left hook, but Canedo blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Janota pivots to the right of his opponent.  Canedo lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Canedo tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Janota walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Canedo attempts to land a jab, but Janota sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Canedo strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Janota pivots from in front of his opponent.  Canedo lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Canedo is looking to close the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES JANOTA!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Janota recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Canedo lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a cross to the head, KNOCKING JANOTA DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Canedo senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Janota and just needs the right shot.  Canedo lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS JANOTA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not give Janota the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Canedo!
