Matthew Stennis vs Seth Griffin

Boxing Daily Report from the Nkolola Promotions promoted show at Perth Moorman, Perth,  taking place on 13/12/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matthew Stennis (17(11) - 1) who hails from Perth, Australia and Seth Griffin(3 - 1 - 3 - 1(NC)) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Stennis and Griffin weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gregor Loar, and the three ringside judges are Ben Banis, Greg Tassie and Paul MacNab.  

Round 1: 

Stennis gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Stennis lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Stennis steps inside.  Stennis pivots to the left of his opponent.  Griffin throws a right hook, but Stennis clinches his opponent.  Stennis is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Stennis.  
Stennis throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Stennis holds on to his opponent.  Stennis hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Stennis throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Stennis clinches his opponent.  Stennis tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Griffin behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Stennis.  
Stennis is looking to close the distance and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Griffin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Griffin attempts to land a jab, but Stennis slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Stennis is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Griffin is on target with a right uppercut.  Griffin throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Stennis closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Griffin lands a right hook.  
Stennis steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Stennis gets on the inside.  Griffin pivots to the side of his opponent.  Stennis lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Stennis gets on the inside and is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Stennis lands a solid cross.  
Stennis connects with a left uppercut.  
Griffin throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Griffin pivots from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Griffin tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Stennis drives a left hook into Griffin's liver.  
Stennis steps to the outside and hits home with a firm cross.  
Stennis is looking to close the distance.  Stennis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Stennis is on target with a left hook to Griffin's liver.  Stennis clinches his opponent.  Stennis leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Stennis's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Stennis switches the action to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Griffin's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Griffin's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Stennis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Griffin's liver.  
Stennis walks Griffin down, trapping him on the ropes.  Stennis lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Stennis lands a right hook.  
Griffin throws a left hook, but Stennis ties up his opponent.  Stennis tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Griffin's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Stennis.  
Stennis pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a stinging cross.  
Stennis steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Stennis holds on to his opponent.  Griffin throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Griffin about fouling.  
Griffin is on target with a cross.  
Stennis lands a right hook.  
Stennis lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Stennis walks Griffin down, trapping him on the ropes.  Stennis lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Stennis lands a solid right uppercut.  
Stennis lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Stennis lands a left uppercut.  
Stennis pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Stennis steps inside and hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  
Stennis lands a firm right uppercut.  
Stennis pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a jab to the head.  
Stennis closes the distance and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Stennis lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Stennis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Griffin pivots to the side of his opponent.  Griffin attempts to land a jab, but Stennis parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Griffin's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Griffin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Stennis closes the distance and drives a right uppercut into Griffin's body.  Stennis holds on to his opponent.  Stennis uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Griffin behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Stennis about fouling.  
Stennis lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Stennis lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS GRIFFIN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Griffin quickly recovers. 
Stennis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Stennis hits home with a solid right hook.  
Stennis closes the distance and connects with a solid right hook.  Stennis ties up his opponent.  Stennis leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Stennis's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Stennis is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Stennis walks Griffin down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Stennis lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Stennis steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  Stennis clinches his opponent.  Stennis leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Stennis to stop holding.  
Stennis lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS GRIFFIN TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Stennis!
