Boxing Daily Report from the RJS Promotions promoted show at North Shore Event Centre, Auckland,  taking place on 07/12/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ian Potts (12(4) - 0) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Sam Morrice(19(1) - 11(7)) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Potts weighed in at 227 pounds And 13 ounces, while Morrice weighed in at 219 pounds And 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Justin Kahukakanui, and the three ringside judges are Chris Booth, Chris Kellie and Max Weatherspoon.  

Round 1: 

Morrice walks Potts onto the ropes.  Potts lands a left hook.  Potts throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Morrice manouvers Potts into the corner.  Potts throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Potts switches the action to the outside.  Morrice feints a right hook, and then lands a sharp jab.  
Morrice attempts to land a jab, but Potts sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Potts lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Potts steps away from his opponent and lands a ramrod jab.  
Potts is on target with a stinging jab.  
Morrice throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Potts tries to keep the action at long range.  Morrice throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Morrice gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Potts tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Morrice almost instantly gets his legs back.

Morrice cuts off the ring, trapping Potts in the corner.  Potts is on target with a firm left uppercut to Morrice's liver.  
Morrice hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Morrice lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Potts steps away from his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Morrice closes the distance.  Potts lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Potts tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Morrice forces Potts to retreat onto the ropes.  Morrice pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.

Potts lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Morrice gets on the inside.  Potts is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Potts lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, AND MORRICE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  
Potts lands a right uppercut, right hook and a cross to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MORRICE DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Morrice now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Potts thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Morrice away.  Potts SLAMS a nasty right hook into his opponents face.  MORRICE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Potts!
